So long Thanksgiving ~ thanks for the memories . . .

Still thankful for the pumpkins,

and the decorations,

and the folks who came,

and the pie!

frost on the pumpkin

This was the first morning the outdoor temperature was below freezing (30 ish). There was ice in Woody's water dish and there would have been frost on the pumpkins, but they were all tucked into their little basket in the laundry room with the spaghetti squash. They are headed for pies for Thanksgiving.

really google, get a life

I think I will never be able to log in to google plus again, now that I've conquered signing into the old blogspot. This would be allright, but I had so much fun hanging out with the schillinog/roseberry peeps this morning, I'd hate to just let that go. Anyway, I'm thinking on this blog thing. On the one hand, I'd like to take it up again, with some kind of focus. On the other hand, it seems to me there are waaaaayyy too many words being sent into the void already, and what would be the point of adding to the babble?

The object of his obsession

Looks like it's been close to 9 months since I visited the old huckleberries2 spot. Thought I'd share these pictures of Woody and his latest stalking victim. That poor squirrel wants to come down out of that tree so bad. Woody plans to be there when he does.

I took these pictures with my fairly new camera, the Nikon Coolpix (I don't really like that name) but I like the camera. I'm adding a few spring flowers, such as they are. Plain old forget-me-nots above with ribes sanguineum (red flowering currant) below. Almost time for the columbines to bloom!

Around here this summer

Sarah attended Harp Camp at Magic Hill

Penny played in new playhouse in her backyard

Theo celebrated his third birthday

We took a an afternoon cruise to Seattle.

I don't remember dogs being allowed above the car deck in the olden days. But this one sure was handsome.

I love this town!

Cool Seattle guy

Sunset from the waterfront

One day's tomato harvest

Olalla wildlife this morning. He doesn't look big, but he is over twice the size of most of the frogs around here this summer. I could see him from the house, sitting on top of the post out by the greenhouse this morning.

More Huckleberries and Some Lavendar

I picked a bunch of huckleberries this morning. Need to make cobbler tomorrow. Later in the afternoon Doug and I went up and stimulated the economy in Sequim.

Speaking of huckleberies . . .

. . . there sure are a lot of them this year!
