much to do . . .

. . . nothing to say. Weather cold and wet. Nose runny. Throat sore. Need sleep. Need daylight. Need a vacation. Not getting one.

Back to the real world . . .

kind of regretting that I couldn't stretch those 6 days into a couple more, although, catching up with life in Kitsap County is a definite must. It's still kind of hard to believe that Penelope May is really a girl! I'm so thankful to have been able to be with Sarah and Andy during these few days, just to experience (remember) how sweet and precious they are (were). It was a delight, but I'm thinking of going to bed now (8:30 pm). I guess I'm kind of a tired grandmama (Theo pronounces that grandmomma!) Here are some pictures I took over the last couple of days.

There is a tiny 0-3 months size outfit I found, quite by accident, with a little owl on it. I couldn't help myself.

A combination of traffic reports and a beautiful morning led me to take the ferry to Kingston instead of driving around. What a great ride!

So this is Penny and me. She's very cuddly.

Baby Town

11:45 on day 2 of life with a new little baby in the family. She is very sweet, a "holder", but only fusses quietly when we put her down. She just likes to be in someone's arms. She slept on Andy for 4 hours last night, so she and her mommy and daddy got some deep sleep for at least that long. Doug and I conked out in the living room around 11:00 and didn't move until Theo joined us a little after 7:30. It was a very good night's sleep. We're just hanging out, trying to keep folks fed and Theo company and laundry folded. Doug has to go home tomorrow night, but I'm planning to stay until Tuesday, so we need to figure out who riding the bus home!

Oh my, a new post!

I ordered this desk from Office Depot on Monday and it was delivered on Wednesday. Doug put it together (about 3 hours Wed night and about an hour tonight). So, here is a little picture story. I still have lots of moving in and organizing where this desk is concerned. It has 3 file drawers, which should be plenty and a big top with lots of room to spread out. I can get my mess off the kitchen counter and that's a good thing!
We're off to Bellingham tomorrow to celebrate the imminent arrival of Cleo or Leo by helping Andy and Sarah with some gettting ready for the baby projects.

I can't resist posting this picture from Christmas -just a pile of Lewises.
