Naoko's visit was toooooo short

She came on Wednesday morning and left on Saturday afternoon. Here are a few pictures from our get together at Buca di Beppo in Seattle on Friday night. It was so nice of she and Tyler to share their short time together with us!

Today's big doings

I almost finished organizing my desk. Thought you might like these before and after shots.

Doug and I went to the Kitsap Home and Garden Show and there was this random booth selling musical instruments. We got this for Theo so he'll have something to strum when the ukelele wears out. It's just a little bigger than the ukelele and came with a pick, an extra set of strings, a strap, a pitch pipe and a gig bag! I have to tell you the price so you don't think we're crazy. $20.

Red Clover

here are red clover seeds sprouting in the window sill. I just planted them 2 days ago to see how easily they would germinate. Seems like a success. I wonder if they will just take over the yard.

Whoa - it's been a month!

I've been pretty busy I guess. Anyway not in the blogging mood. Last Sunday I went to Bellingham and stayed with Andy & Sarah until Monday afternoon. Stayed with Theo and Penny while Sarah went to a teaching job Monday morning. Wednesday evening I went over to Sammamish and spent the night at Lydia's sister's house so I could give Lydia a ride to the airport on Thursday morning. That was fun - dodging traffic jams is quite the sport. Last night was a big show in Silverdale with Kidsonbikes and Alligators which caused me to go to bed an hour later than usual. This morning I had to get up an hour earlier than usual because of going on daylight savings time. Good grief. This afternoon I finally spent a little time in the great outdoors. Raked leaves (last fall's), pulled up blackberries, piled rocks, started a root burn pile and planted one of the 22 plants that Sheldon has given us. All the plants he gave us, which remained in their pots all winter up against the north side of the house, are living still. I'd love to plant them all, but I'm kind of waiting until we decide where grass seed is going.

can't upload anymore pictures - keep getting "server error" message. At least I know it's not MY mistake.
