Another Option

Yesterday we saw this house in Puyallup. It is made by Karsten, which are sold just down the road in Gorst as well. The view in the picture is looking from the kitchen/living room part of the house (which are separated by a wall) through the dining room into the family room. There are also 2 bedrooms down there with the master bdrd and utility room at the other end. We need to make a decision so we can get started on the work!

It's manufactured

Here are a couple of shots of the house I want now. Doug and I have looked quite a bit the last 3 Sunday/Mondays and I keep coming back to this floor plan. The one we saw today is called the "Truman", which is, I think, significant. Also, last week we saw the same house but with different ceiling/wall height and that is the only house Theo has been in with us (and Andy & Sarah) and they all like it too! The kitchen is amazing - you could keep lots of stuff besides pots and pans in there! The cabinets in the picture I'm showing you are kind of dark. I'd like them a little lighter, and without black appliances, right?

We've been to Gorst, Fife, Puyallup and Chehalis (today's trip) to look at houses. We've spent some time with the contractor guy at Hiline Homes (which is not completely ruled out, but is not as high on the list as it once was). I don't think I want to look much more. Today we spent some time in the town of Centralia on the way home. There were lots of bloomin' trees.

This is in response to

this quote from forawi,
"I wanted to add a quick post though, so that I can be righteously indignant about all the lackluster blogging of my friends."
I've found that trying to be creative and entertaining is sapping my strength. And, I don't think my pictures are very interesting. So, the only thing left is pretty much real life which is just the same ol', same ol'. Let's see. The radiator in Doug's van has a huge crack in it. So, we are now down to 4 people w/ jobs and 2 autos. I have a boatload of work to do this week and would like to have a car to drive, but I dunno if I will. We looked at some manufactured houses yesterday. Still in limbo. Could we just hire somebody to do all the looking and the decision making and signing papers for us? I still have a pretty strong desire for one of those hi-line homes, but I don't know what to do about it anymore. I keep forgetting to take the antibiotics for my sinus infection. I need to go call the dr's office and be sure they send the proper referral authorization to the foot dr's I am supposed to go see next wednesday. Last week I had x-rays taken of my foot and my shoulder. Geez - see what I mean? Dull. However, it gives me an idea. I could put all my to-do lists on this blog, and since I check it frequently because I'm starved for comments, I'd see the lists all the time.
Here's a picture from my $2 digital scrapbook program. I created it after typing that last sentence and it took me a full half-hour. It takes forever to find the specific pictures I have in mind, and then I have all the choices about what to make the page look like. Plus, not having an artistic bone in my body, they are really dull. I am kind of proud of the Tot-tot watermark, though.

The new huckleberries!

This is the beginning of huckleberries2, so that no one will confuse huckleberries for narrowsbikecommuter, although he is giving me technical advice.

To view ancient history you can always visit the original HUCKLEBERRIES at
www.huckleberries.blogspot.com You should be able to just click the link to this if you wish, but of course, I can't get that feature to function.
